The 2011 Infiniti EX35 gets a new transmission. This 4-door wagon seats 5 and shares its basic design with the Infiniti G Sedan. EX35 reprises a 297-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine, but 2011 models get a new 7-speed automatic transmission, which replaces a 5-speed automatic. Base and Journey trims return for 2011, both with rear- or all-wheel drive. The AWD system includes a snow mode that locks in a 50/50 front/rear power split. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags. Leather upholstery, a rearview camera, and dual-zone automatic climate control are standard across the board. Standard on the Journey are a power tilt and telescopic steering wheel, heated front seats, sunroof, wireless cell-phone link, and hard drive for storing digital-music files. Infiniti's Around View Monitor also returns, and it uses four cameras to show the driver the entire circumference of the exterior on a dashboard screen. All the angles can be viewed separately or together as one cohesive image of the whole vehicle. Lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, power-folding rear seat backs, and a navigation system are among the options offered on the Journey.
